柳の森 - 柳生観光協会
柳の森：柳生と言う地名は、大昔この場所に誰かが杖を立てておいたところが、その杖から芽が出てやがてそれが柳の大木となりそこから柳生と言う地名となりこの地が「柳の森」と呼ばれている。大化改新の時に楊生郷と言う字で書かれていたが南北朝時代に後醍醐天皇に味方して敗れ領地を没収されるが兼務の中興で復活される。それ以後、楊生、から柳生に替わったと考えられる。平安時代の初め、関白藤原基経の領地となり、藤原史の荘園であったが、平安の中期長歴2年奈良春日大社に寄付され春日さんの社領地となっていた。平安時代の終わりに近く大膳 - Museum - 360m
